Hitting the Road for Hydrocarbons

Over the last few months, the Oil Respect team has been travelling the country spreading the word about the importance of the Energy East pipeline and the benefits of oil and gas development.

It’s time for Canadians to have an adult conversation on hydrocarbons.

We know that Canada’s oil and gas industry is a world leader in innovation, safety, and environmental protection, that employs citizens from coast to coast – and that for too long, these facts have been ignored and pushed aside.

Oil Respect agrees, and has been hitting the highway making the case for hydrocarbons.

Over the last few months, the Oil Respect team has been travelling the country spreading the word about the importance of the Energy East pipeline and the benefits of oil and gas development. This past week their Energy East Tour has made stops in Kenora, Dryden, and Thunder Bay, where they had many meaningful conversations with community members.

The overwhelming consensus? Residents are enthusiastic about the possibilities of energy development in their communities. What’s more, they understand that pipelines are an efficient, responsible, and safe way to transport the energy we need.

Hydrocarbons are modern miracles that have dramatically increased human quality of life worldwide, and Canadians are the best in the world at harvesting them responsibly. A thriving Canadian energy industry supports Canadian workers and helps us maintain our world-class quality of life, including schools, hospitals, and social programming.

Next month, Oil Respect will be returning to Ontario to continue the discussion on Energy East, before continuing on to the Maritime provinces in November.

Kudos to Oil Respect for taking the pro-energy message on the road! For more information on their work and the results of the Energy East tour, check out their website here.
