A Win for the Canadian Hydrocarbon Industry.

After a grueling campaign Ontarians have spoken, and the people have chosen Doug Ford and the Ontario PC's to form a majority government. This electoral win spells many needed changes for both the province and the Canadian hydrocarbon industry, as the newly minted Premier Doug Ford and his party have shown they believe in a pro-hydrocarbon agenda.

None of this would be possible without the tireless work by Ontario based organizations that campaigned, canvassed and shared their messages of support for the PC government and their platform. Organizations such as Ontario Proud, Coalition of Concerned Manufacturers and Businesses of Ontario, and the Canadian Tax Payers Federation to name a few, that steered the conversation to pro-industry issues that affect citizens province and countrywide.

A hard road remains ahead as this newly appointed government navigates the political landscape they have inherited from their predecessors, and they face the challenge and opposition of the various groups that oppose their vision. We must work harder than ever to keep the pro-hydrocarbon narrative front and center and dispel the narratives that vilify industry and stall progress in Canada.

Life is better with Canadian hydrocarbons, and this is a vision that is echoed in Doug Ford's government. We are hopeful that with this new ally we can bring much-needed support to our energy community in their efforts to highlight Canadian resources.
